Accessibility

We are doing our utmost to make the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht as accessible as possible. We are achieving this by making venues physically accessible to everyone, but also by removing other potential barriers to concert attendance. We would like to explain how this will manifest itself in practice. If you have any suggestions or remarks, please contact us via info@oudemuziek.nl.

Concertlocaties

Many of our concert venues are easily accessible to disabled people. Unfortunately, this is not the case at all venues. On the location overview on the website, and on the location map in the festival brochure and festival guide, the following pictograms or letters indicate for each location whether the location is wheelchair accessible, whether there are parking spaces for the disabled in the vicinity and whether there is a loop to support the hearing impaired.

It is also possible to hire OV bikes at various locations in the city, including Utrecht Central, Utrecht Overvecht, Utrecht Lunetten and P+R De Uithof. Fringe: free concerts
The Fringe is a permanent fixture in the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht, offering a daily programme of free concerts given by young professional musicians who are either close to graduation or have recently embarked on their career. Some of these musicians are specially selected under the title ‘Fabulous Fringe.’ The concerts take place at historic locations spread over Utrecht’s city centre, and are roughly 45 minutes in duration. The Fringe offers people with a limited income the opportunity to enjoy early music, and it gives young talent the chance to showcase itself to a large and dedicated audience.

Give an Encore
We want everyone to enjoy the Utrecht Early Music Festival. That is why we present 'De Toegift' (The Encore). When you order your festival tickets online or by means of the order form, you can make a voluntary contribution of €12,50 for De Toegift. With the money collected in this way we pay for tickets for people with limited income. For this purpose, we work together with De Tussenvoorziening, Buddy to Buddy Utrecht, COA Haydnlaan, De Armoedecoalitie, Welkom in Utrecht, Oog voor Utrecht, COA Biltsestraatweg en Sociale Tafel Lombok.

We also regularly collaborate with De Zonnebloem, U-pas, the Bank Giro Lottery and CJP. For more information on these collaborations or suggestions, please e-mail publiciteit@oudemuziek.nl.
